The Bulls landed another commitment tonight, this one coming from St. Petersburg (Fla.) Northeast high school fullback Auggie Sanchez.
"Yes, I committed tonight," said Sanchez. "I had a basketball game so I had my coach call. I told him I wanted to get it done and to call coach (Willie) Taggart."
Sanchez visited USF last weekend and felt comfortable on campus and with the players.
"It's definitely a big relief, it was time to get it over with. I like coach Taggart a lot and think it's going to be a good fit for me."
The Bulls will use the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Sanchez on the offensive side of the ball.
"I'm going to play fullback, h-back type deal. I bring toughness and smarts to the offensive side of the ball."
Auggie will be the second Sanchez brother to play for USF. His brother Armando played three season for USF.
"I text my brother, but I haven't heard back yet. He played a big role in my recruitment and I listened to him a lot. He's always told me to be patient and it will all work out."
Sanchez says he's solid in his decision and he has no other visits scheduled.
