Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Catholic wide receiver Zach Benjamin finally got his long awaited offer from South Florida.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder received a call from Skip Holtz this evening who extended him the offer.
“First we just talked about the process in general and about my game and stuff,” Benjamin said. “He [Coach Holtz] said that I had an offer from USF. This is definitely the happiest I’ve been since my first offer. I’ve wanted it.”
The offer shakes things up for Benjamin. He had a previous top two of Western Kentucky and Toledo, but now it’s all about the Bulls.
“I was really close to committing to WKU, but I feel that USF is my number one right now,” he said.
Benjamin is rated as a two-star recruit by 247Sports. He has 15 receptions for 251 yards and 5 touchdowns in his senior campaign.
