Tampa (Fla.) Robinson High School defensive tackle Bruce Hector signed his letter of intent at 8 a.m. today, official joining the Bulls.
Although his name was attached to Iowa State rumors, the 6-foot-2, 270-pounder says he did not have any intentions of "doing anything crazy" during his ceremony.
"It's just a good feeling knowing you can go to college and it will all be paid for and you don't have to worry about anything," the three-star prospect said on Wednesday. "But you have to keep working on and off the field to keep that scholarship."
The athletic and agile run-stopper is excited to get on campus, but remains focused on his high school goals.
"I'm just excited to finish out high school strong and go to college and play with Coach Taggart," he said. "Go Bulls."
