Tampa (Fla.) Freedom defensive back Nate Godwin official became a South Florida Bull today with the signing of his letter of intent at 9:30 a.m.
Once committed to Minnesota, Godwin flipped to South Florida after the Bulls hired Willie Taggart.
"It is a relief to officially get the process over and done with," the three-star prospect, rated as an athlete by 247Sports said. "I am very excited about signing my letter of intent to South Florida."
Godwin was one of the Bulls most active recruits in the 2013 class and was very vocal about his desire to be a Bull.
"I am blessed to be given the opportunity to play at a major BCS program under such a great coaching staff," he said on Wednesday. "I can not wait to prove myself on and off the field."
Godwin has an opportunity to make an immediate impact on special teams and could compete for playing time midway through his freshman year.
