Carrollwood Day School running back Robert Davis decommited from Cincinnati today. The two-star running back says he had built a strong relationship with Butch Jones and the Bearcats’ staff and wants to see what changes are made to that staff while keeping his options open.
Davis says Memphis, Boston College, Purdue, USF and Cincinnati remain in play for his services.
Currently the 5-foot-8, 160-pounder has offers from Cincinnati and Memphis, but Boston College gave him a home visit last week, Purdue reached out to him on Thursday and the Bulls are set to have a home visit with him next week.
Although Davis doesn’t fit the mold of a power-run game back its possible that USF makes a late push as lack of depth is an issue for the Bulls in the backfield.
