You know who signed and how USF finished, but here are the key story lines for the 2012 class.

  • Does anyone still believe that Tyler Cameron got away? I admit Rayshawn was a quality loss but I think the staff walked on Cameron. They sure didn't fight to keep him.

  • Looks like losing Rayshawn might turn out to be no problem since we grabbed Fidel Montgomery; then McCall can take the reins after Fidel moves on.

  • This is why I'm optimistic.

"The sharks were circling for guys like Sean Price, D’Vario Montgomery and Chris Bivins. Between not making a bowl, coaching changes and conference realignment talk, USF had their hands full this offseason. Finishing with only one decommit is something nobody saw coming after a 5-7 season."

They walked...but need to do a better job when they walk to have another option waiting. I think they just thought Norvell would be waiting, or Patti, but didn't cultivate those properly during the time the Cameron thing got rocky.

Good write-up...all-in-all a much better class. This is a class we're more accustom to, a class more like Leavitt was getting us accustom to bringing in. More top level talent, some good projects...not nearly as many head scratchers as last year. I am not fans of a few of the JUCO's, but the DB's are athletic and big so should at least provide quality back-up, and you see Mims, and Chandler-York as guys that could have some real upside.

    I like.
