Daily Eats - go there about once a week for breakfast and to work. and to look at Soho women.
Tahitian Inn - another good breakfast spot.
SoHo Sushi - best sushi in Tampa

Can you go a little off topic and recommend a couple places near downtown seattle? I'm hoping to be there in a few weeks.
I'd also like to add California Tacos as an alternative to Taco Bus. Their fish tacos are the best I've had. The California burrito with pork is awesome, as well
If you want to get to specific cuisine, I could narrow it down better. Overall top 3 are:
Local 360: everything on their menu is sourced within 360 mile radius. Their burger is best in town, that I know of. $15 burger (worth it!)
Dahlia Lounge: really, any Tom Douglas restaurant will be tops. He has maybe 5 different ones in town, all with different types of food. Great for brunch too. $30 entrees
Chinooks at Fisherman's Terminal: cannot walk to from downtown but it has the best fish and awesome maritime scene.Overlooks the marina where all the salmon Seiners and Crab boats moor up. $20 entrees
Portage Bay Cafe: best breakfast in town. Get their early! $10
If you want Asian, that would be a whole other post.
Oh, and how can I forget Red Mesa in St. Pete? Thinking about sitting in the patio with a fresh Mexican dish in the middle of April is grounds to move back to Tampa.
Edison Food and Drink Lab is new. The chef is pretty popular in Tampa
As someone that left the Tampa Bay area for NYC, the places I really miss:
Publix. Subs, sides, just everything. That doesn't even mention the beauty of aisles so big more than one person can fit down them.
Hooters. I'm super classy like that.
Never really got into the fooderati scene down there.
and Datz is a chef's restaurant fa show
BoiZao- West Shore
Grill Smith- Carrollwood
Vallartas on Busch/56
CK's (revolving rest on TPA Intl)
Land and Sea- Usf Awesome for meats/dips/stuff for the grill
Dunderbaks-Great sandwiches and better liter beers
Haha, I've been to the Alaskan Taco...I don't quite remember it tho...long night. Is it any good?
The Carrollwood Vallartas is a great one!
If you're on campus, the best place to go by far is Tarek's Cafe.
If you've never heard of it, its in the College of Public Health, around the corner from the main entrance. Its sorta hard to find, so I made a rough sketch using Google Maps. Basically, there's a sidewalk between Continuing Education and the College of Public Health (the black lines) and if you walk down that sidewalk, you'll see it on the left.
Burgers, Dogs, Cheesesteak, Cubans, Sandwiches, Wraps, several other options. All pretty good, and definitely unlike the other food on campus. And they serve Pepsi, so if you're a Pepsi guy its great lol.
As far as on campus eateries go that are owned by Aramark, The best places now are Champion's Choice and Juniper Dining. I'd say the Fresh Food Company (Argos) is better than Bull's Den Cafe (Andros), but the Ben n' Jerry's is nice. But now, one can get ice cream in all four dining halls. Champion's Choice is a healthier alternative that has food designed for the sports teams to be able to eat. Its not bad.
They're going to be replacing the Burger King and will put in a Pollo Tropical. The Sbarros will become a Panda Express, and the Misos will become a Papa Johns. In Sessums Mall and the Marshall Center, respectfully.
You know what it was amazing. They would have fresh fish flown in for their tacos. Thinking about it made me look up their hours and it looks like the may have closed. Some great memories there after some fun nights. I used to live right across the street from Land and Sea when i went to USF and i miss that place so much. Two filets and two lobster tails for 14.99 and crazy stuffed burgers for the grill made for a high class tailgate for games.
By the way...I'm sitting at the Oxford Exchange as I type this. Great place to work, eat, people watch and get coffee. I've been here a few times over the past two weeks.
Has anyone ever checked it out? It's on Kennedy near UT.
Pete and Shorty's is money for a good Burger and beer..
Just found out they are big time Iowa State boosters.
