Whenever I make it back to tampa I try to hit a few of the following
Berns is of course awesome but that's a special occasion stop.
I'm really looking forward to the Cigar City brew pub that's opening soon. Everything the Renders do is top notch and if the beer dinners they've done around the state are any indication the brew pub will be top notch.
Also if anyone finds their way to jacksonville let me know and I'll let you know where the good eats are.
Dunderbak's > all
Any of you guys go to Dunderbak's on Monday for trivia? Just curious.
I used to before I became married and broke.
Dunderbak's or The Lime
"That's just my opinion, I could be wrong" - Dennis Miller
I want to say Taco bus but since moving to California I'll never look at tacos the same.

The wife and I are obsessed with Paci's pizza near Plant high school.
No brainer for me when it comes to Pizza. Eddie & Sam's all day..
For the guy who asked about Jamaican jerk food the only place I know of is the Jerk Hunt in downtown Tampa next to Eddie & Sam's
How can you leave of John Howie Steak or the Metropolitan Grill for steak houses?
The Silver Fork IMO is the best breakfast in Seattle(Not bad for other meals but amazing breakfast) The Brown Bag Cafe in Kirkland is a pretty close second (never met a person who could finish their plate)
Not big on Seafood so I'd take your word for it.
Mama's Mexican Kitchen by Seattle Center is amazing.
Il Terrazzo Carmine has to be some of the best Italian food I've ever had.
As for cheap meals Dicks has one of the best burgers out there of the fast food variety (Go to the original location on Broadway; side note Sir Mix A lot actually includes Dick's in "My Posse's on Broadway") or Ezell's Fried Chicken; they are all good but the one on 23rd and Jefferson is by far the best and also the original. I make it a point to got their every time I go home to visit family (So good Oprah has it flown to her in Chicago when she craves Fried Chicken).
That's what I can think of off the top of my head; grew up in Seattle before going to USF. Haven't lived there in 7 years but I go back to visit a couple times a year.
I don't live in Tampa anymore, but one of our site managers does. He would kill me for not recommending Taco Bus, Datz, and Pane Rustica (particularly the "Shut Up and Eat" lunch). He also hangs out in the Oxford Exchange quite a bit.
And I make it a point to drive over to Frenchy's on Clearwater Beach for a grouper sandwich any time I visit.
Then there's Munchie's 420... lol.
Surf Shack in Oldsmar.
About time. I started this thread just to bait you into posting.

Where is Oldsmar?
The north east corner of Pinellas county on the border with Hillsborough. By the racetrack.
Give Paci's a try. Especially the Margherita. I have eaten at eddie and sams many times, but we prefer Paci's much better.
The bread pudding dessert at Daily Eats is good, went there tonight lol.
