Coach Taggart continues to be a man of his word when it comes to the four-man battle for the starting quarterback job.
Taggart said at the start of camp veterans Matt Floyd and Bobby Eveld, along with newcomers Steven Bench and Mike White, would get an equal opportunity to win the competition and so far each signal caller has gotten “about the same amount of reps.”
“We grade our guys on how they practice that day. If guys do well, they move up (on the depth chart),” Taggart said.
A continuously moving depth chart means the quarterback who shines the brightest gets to start practice with the first team the next time out and the honor went to Floyd on Friday.
The Bulls got to practice in full pads for the first time this fall before packing up for the second phase of camp that begins Saturday in Vero Beach.

Bench has only practiced with first team for 2 practices. I expect Bench to make his move this week.
I'm fine as long as Eveld isn't starting.
Floyd moving up into the start role makes me believe that he might have gotten his snap-fumbling issue under control over the summer. I guess we won't really know for sure until we see him in game action (provided he wins the job).
