Best Bull I personally covered was Stephen Nicholas.

Big George Selvie guy was unmatched for a long stretch. Honorable mention to Mike Jenkins and Nate Allen. The defense in 07' was insane good.

Tough call on this.
Would have loved to have seen JPP play one more season at USF, but the best Bull I saw play was Kawika Mitchell. Always dependable, good tackler, what you wanted out of a LB.

I would say JPP, but he only played one year. Best as a Bull? JR Reed. Leader. Game changer. I cannot get the Memphis game he single-handedly won out of my mind. A close second would be either Anthony Henry or Mike Jenkins.

Tough call but would be Grothe.
Top 5 for me would be Grothe, Kawika Mitchell, Blackwell, Huey Whitaker, Mike Jenkins

It's hard to go against JR Reed since he was a terrier, but Selvie was our first All American, and he gave up being a first or second rounder to get a degree. However, there was no one more fun to watch than Grothe.
However, Reed did single handly beat Menphis the same year Menphis beat Eli at Ole Mis, the same year Eli beat LSU.
So I guess I'll go with Jenkins.

Based off who I've seen play..
Offense: Grothe - He put USF on the map. Wasn't the best talent, but he was electric. Honorable Mention goes to Andre Hall. USF didn't have a ton of talent on the OL and no real passing game, but opposing defenses still couldn't stop him.
Defense: Selvie - Like Grothe his game didn't translate to the NFL, but he was a damn good college DE. Two time All-American. Had one of the best seasons in college football history. Honorable Mention goes to Mike Jenkins and Tyrone McKenzie. Jenkins was the best Athlete I've seen in a USF uniform. McKenzie was an awesome LB. Ball hawk involved in every tackle. Anyone remember what he did to Slaton?
Really wish I could've watched Blackwell, Kawika Mitchell, D. Rubin, JR Reed, Anthony Henry, and Huey Whittaker play..

Have to throw in Taurus Johnson. That kid made some huge plays for us at crucial points of games. Still have memories of the catch in overtime @ UCF 2008.

My favorite Bull of all time was Nate Allen.
Matt Grothe was probably the best football player in program history. Not the most talented, but the best football player.
But saying that, JR Reed was a special college player.
I vote for JR Reed. I graduated in the same ceremony as JR, actually.

Grothe hands down!
He's overall, but for defense my favorite was George Selvie,Mistral Raymond, and Stephen Nicholas for a tie.

I came to USF in '02, so I caught the end of the Blackwell/Mitchell/Reed era and right on into the Grothe and Co. era. My top 5 would probably include Andre Hall, Mike Jenkins (my personal favorite Bull ever), JR Reed, George Selvie, Stephen Nicholas. Not necessarily in any order. And Grothe and Blackwell would have to be just outside the top 5 for me (hard to say that too).
