  • They are a neat story. Nice that they found a home together. Looks like we are in for a first hand look at their abilities.

    Unfortunately, very true....

  • Very generous offer from UCF ... FBS football is not high school football.

Why do you bring that up? Do you believe someone on this board is confused over FBS and High School football.

Shaquill, had about 10 BCS offers, and would probably have doubled that if he didn't require Shaquem to be a package. Shaquem is no slouch with the offers either, and now that he's offering to go to LB it may jump. These two are world class athletes, placing nationally in track and field events. We only have about 2-3 kids on our roster that have that kind of athletic ability currently.

This is a great pick-up for UCF. A sad miss for USF. Perhaps we can get lucky later and Shaquem will play some LB this year in HS and show USF his real versatility and finally get us to offer.

  • Three to four years from now we will see who made the right move. Right now its just our opinions. At the end of the day you make some good calls and some bad ones. The staff will be happy if they are right more often than not.
We can all point to good moves and bad moves by any coaching staff.

Are you saying UCF is out-recruiting USF in Tampa? Why or why not?

  • Nice try troll.. USF isn't losing out on much with what UCF has landed thus far. Go look how bad USF is out recruiting UCiF in Orlando

  • Agreed, I believe USF is holding its own with UCF in recruiting thus far.
And assuming Jeff Badet commits to USF, you can imagine Asianti Woulard and him put a double move on Shaquem on a wheel route on his way to the end-zone ( Shaquill is covering Chris Dunkley or Davario Montgomery on the other side ). It's all about matchups and exploiting a defense's weakness

As far as Shaquem playing LB ... I might be wrong, but Connor Rafferty or Cameron Ruff can easily take him 1-on-1.

This is why UCF's offer is so admirable. It's about opportunity for kids ...football, education, opportunities ...
