Hopefully Scott can get the job done.. Seems to be well educated about USF. Knows there's an opportunity to play.. Similar to Heritage, hopefully he likes the idea of being one of those final pieces to getting a team like USF over the top..

Deeb just comes across as a Big10/Penn St type recruit. They could be tough competition for the atmosphere and he truly doesn't mind leaving, the cold, the recent abuse scandal, and no more Joe Pa..

Not trying to flame, but REALLY? Who exactly do you think you are? I'm from Florida - USF has made great strides the last few years, but the highlight of USF football has been a few upset wins - Penn State is college football royalty - 7th most wins in college football history, countless All-Americans, a Heisman winner, two National Championships, two Big Ten championships in the last 5 years. The events of the last few months were horrible, but they don't represent the University as a whole, and the people involved are long gone. Maybe you ought to check the most recent recruiting rankings and re-think your statement...

Really? Interesting. Maybe you should tell Sean Price, Chris Bivins, James Hamilton, that. Ryne Giddens, Terrence Mitchell,Sam Barrington, DeDe Lattimore etc, etc etc. (all were very highly recruited) Heck Ryne Giddens and Sean Price were national recruits.

And Penn State is a has been program in the middle of no where Amish country. Just had the most disturbing scandal that I have ever heard of in sports last year. Pedophilia is kind of a big deal.

If this kid was from Big 10 country, I would understand. But, Penn State is an after thought in Florida.

Clearly you don't know much about Pennsylvania nor have you educated yourself about what really happened with the Sandusky (not PSU) scandal - if you only get your info from ESPiN then you only have about 1/10 of the info and a lot of that is even incorrect..

He won't be the top rated CB in the nation when re-evaluations are done. Kendall Fuller and his performances at recent camps are goin to have him competing for the number one overall spot. Kid is being compared to Patrick Peterson and Eric Berry when they were coming out of high school.

Either way, Hargreaves is a beast and still a top five recruit, but his dad is a coach at USF, so I would hope that they have a shot at landing him. I admire your passion for USF, but the reality is that PSU has been a sleeping giant the past decade, and the giant is finally waking up. To ignore the start that PSU has had on the recruiting trail thus far would be naive, and if O'Brien continues the winning tradition while continuing to inject energy in the program, then PSU will become a household name once again for football.....even in Florida.

By the way, I admire USF and hope that they can continue to build their program up. I remember watching them play PSU in 2005 in our opening game, thinking to myself, that these guys play with the most heart out of any team I've seen in a while. I hope they continue on the up and up, would love to see them succeed with their blue collar kids over the flashy ways of FSU and Florida.

I think this one is going to be a battle to the end between PSU and USF. Hope he ends up at PSU seems to fit the prototypical LB that PSU goes after, and it is nice for the PSU fan base to see us finally recruiting in FLA. But I have a feeling he stays home. Either way hope the Bulls have a great season

It is easy to let events of the past year overshadow all the positives Penn State has going for it. It will also be interesting to see what kind of changes happen at PSU with new leadership. Penn State has to be a little different over the next few years with the passing of the torch. If you get tired of going to Iowa we might be able to make room in the Big East now that Pitt is leaving.
