the Big East in 2012.

Temple in Talks to Join Big East in All Sports - NYTimes.com

The Big East is said to be in discussions to add Temple, a former member of the league in football, for all sports, but legal issues will have to be cleared.

I'm not logging in to the NY Times to read an article. Interesting news, though. Temple is a good choice, just looks bad for Big East that they kicked them out before so I figured they wouldn't do it. If they do, good move. Better than Memphis, that's for sure.

Memphis was purely a basketball move. Can't blame a basketball conference for trying to replace three top basketball teams with Cuse, Pitt, and WVU leaving

I didn't have to log in to read the article, so I apologize if that is how it showed up.
If this is true, then I see this as a sign that Louisville is gone to Big 12 after this season.

I doubt UL gets picked up next year......if they do then the Big East is pretty much done for as a football conference

I can absolutely blame them for that because this conference's future depends on the football teams. That's where the most money is and the Big East has been getting killed publicly. Memphis automatically becomes our worst football team. It's not a deal breaker for me, and at least they are ok in basketball, but Temple not only has a better basketball team but they have gone 8-4, 8-4, and 9-4 the last 3 years in football. That's respectable, unlike Memphis.
I'm saying Temple should have been added before Memphis and it's not even close.
