Thats business. Kudos to those assistants for doing their job until the end as we've heard about many of these guys on the road recruiting this week.

Word is that skip is being offered the HC job at La Tech. Think he did this today so Fitch and some of the other guys could join Skip sooner rather than later?
I know it's not but just trying to make a tough situation sound better.

I'm sure that's part of it.
It's much like NFL training camp when you hear that a guy was let go early in camp and the team says it's so he can be in a better position to find a job. A lot of hiring will take place next week during the dead period, so it's better to get out on the job hunt early.

This is a classless move by Taggart, if you promise interviews you should honor it. Letting KP go was a stupid move, no d lineman drafted prior to him, responsible for JPP, I played for him, great man and coach. Alumni not happy.

Unless you have been in the building before you have no clue, yes it is part of the biz but if you want what's best for the program this was a bad move. Many people closer to the program than you will ever be strongly agree. I agree that most was necessary as was retaining Larry and KP.

Translation: I know better than you. I'm closer to the program than you. My opinion matters more than yours.
Reality: Sometimes being too close to something doesn't allow you to see the overall picture clearly. 3-9 means that no one unequivocally deserves to keep their job. If Taggart wants to carry over someone, he will do it for his own reasons - irregardless of what alumni think.

Also... keep the alumni comment to yourself.... am I happy that KP is gone? No... but does CWT sill have my 100% support? Absolutely. He's the coach and it's his decision. Not all the alumni are unhappy.

Exactly what Huey said. I like KP and everything USF but just like everyone here everything I see is skewed to USF. Like Huey said Reality is far different than what us fans see it compared to how an outsider sees it. KP was a great guy and coached with a ton of emotion and USF loves him for that. But this place stunk to all hell the past 2 years and became stagnate. Change was needed all around to get that stench out of the building.
I'm all in on what Willie does right now.... well until we lose to a game then this bitch is going to burn!!! (joke)

Relax guys. It's all part of the business. Bad coaches and great coaches all get fired if they're in this business long enough.
I just got of the phone with Kevin Patrick. As hurt as he is to be leaving USF, he's not bitter, he knows how the business works.
