  • John Egbunu is BLOWING up the NBA elite 100 camp today!

    Could we have our 1st top 10 high school recruit when its all said and done?
    He might wind up being the top center in the nation,not many out there in the 2013 class.

  • It's unreal the kind of visitors Heath and USF basketball are getting in.

    2013 Ohio Combo Guard Major Canady is visiting USF today.

    This Thursday, So is top 2014 Point Guard for the elite Florida Rams, Mirimar's Lance Tejada.

    Following a weekend visit to Virginia Tech, 2013 OBC (OH) guard Major Canady is visiting Duquesne today. He will visit USF next Tuesday. -- Alex Kline (@TheRecruitScoop)

  • The USF 2013 Basketball Class is shaping up to be a stellar frontcourt haul for the Bulls.

    I see a 2013 class of PG Josh Heath, SG Drew Davis, SF Demetrius Henry, PF Chris Perry, and C John Egbunu. I see Heath and Davis redshirting.

    Rivals just redid their rankings and the Bulls will most likely land 3 Rivals top 150 big men.

    John Egbunu was one of the highest risers to a 4 star at 75.
    Demetrius Henry got moved up to a 4 star to 110.
    Chris Perry entered the top 150 at 144.

    All 3 are 6'9 and are very physical presenses down low.

    It couldn't come at a better time as we have only true frontcourt big man returning in Jordan Omegbehin. The forwards and center spot will be completely depleted. We lost 6'10 Waverly Austin, and we lose our entire starting frontline in F Victor Rudd (early entree) ,PF Toralyn Fitzpatrick, and C Kore White.

    Their is speculation on the Cincy board that losing Waverly Austin has put USF in the driver's seat for Bartow big man Chris Perry. He would slip right into the starters spot at Power Forward.

    Henry has moved to Brandon Faith Baptist and has been to USF campus several time including to the recent elite USF camp with 2014 Brandon Faith Baptist SF Malik Price Martin and John Egbunu. He has added a jump shot and handle to his game and is now looking at playing the wing/small forward spot at college. He's a physical bruiser who defends, rebounds, dunks everything and blocks shots. Also shooting to be a one and done.

    If we land all 3 we are looking at a starting lineup in 2013 of

    PG Anthony Collins
    SG Musa Aleem
    SF Demetrius Henry
    PF Chris Perry
    C. John Egbenu

    Backing them up would most likely
    PG. Martino Brock
    SG. Javontae Hawkins
    SF Zack Leday
    PF. Dan Robinson (if they take the project midyear from IMG,rated 2048 in his class)
    C. Jordan Omegbehin

    There's an outside shot that Forward Tweeners Chris Davenport or Drekralo Clayton could be part of this class, but USF seems to have backed off them and Antravious Simmons as of late.

    Very excited about this 2013 class.
